The Ranco C12-2001 is an adjustable outdoor thermostat designed to control supplemental electric resistance heat in heat pump systems.

This control holds back additional stages of auxiliary heat until outdoor temperature falls below the set setpoint, improving system efficiency and reducing unnecessary electric heat operation.
