GENERANT CRVP3-500B-K-550 Brass Cryogenic Relief Valve – 1/2″ NPT – 550 PSIG – O2 Cleaned

The Generant CRVP3-500B-K-550 is a heavy-duty cryogenic pressure relief valve designed to provide overpressure protection in compatible cryogenic piping and vessel systems.

This configuration features a 1/2″ male NPT inlet and an installed 3/8″ female NPT pipe-away adapter, allowing discharged gas to be routed to downstream vent piping rather than exhausted directly at the valve. The CRVP configuration is supplied without a drain hole.

The valve is factory preset to 550 PSIG and permanently locked to help prevent unauthorized field adjustment. Generant’s CRV series has a nominal available set-pressure range of 10–750 PSIG and is 100% factory tested for leakage, crack and reseat performance.

This 550-PSIG configuration uses a PCTFE seal, which Generant specifies for CRV valves with set pressures of 50 PSIG and above. The PCTFE configuration has an operating temperature range of approximately -320°F to +165°F (-196°C to +74°C).

The CRV series also incorporates Generant’s Dirt Guard poppet, which uses a screen to help protect the valve against system debris and particulate contamination. Generant describes the CRV as particularly suited for blocked-line safety in cryogenic systems.

The valve is cleaned and packaged for oxygen service. Generant notes that the oxygen-cleaning integrity can be compromised once the original heat-sealed factory packaging is opened, which is worth noting when describing NOS inventory.
