Overview

The Empire FAW40SPPX-N Counterflow B-Vent Wall Furnace delivers powerful, efficient 40,000 BTU natural gas heat while using minimal floor space. Designed to heat larger areas, this unit blows warm air from the floor level upward—providing even, comfortable distribution throughout the room.

Its slim vertical cabinet can be recessed between standard wall studs or surface-mounted, giving installers flexibility. The B-Vent design makes it ideal for conventional venting through vertical vent pipe. The furnace features a 4″ oval vent connection (adapter available separately) and a 1/2″ NPT gas inlet.

This model uses a standing pilot ignition system, offering reliable heat even during power interruptions. The FAW-40 includes heavy-duty burner construction, high-performance blower operation (275 CFM), and built-in safety features such as automatic shutoff for pilot loss.
